At $16 it would have a market cap of $52b. In 2001 when it merged with Billiton the combined group had a market cap of $57b. You don't expand Iron ore production to 240mtpa by 2012 then to 300m+tpa by 2015 unless you have done your research. And given that this is all they do I suspect they might have a better idea about long term global commodities demand than the posters on HC predicting $16. Charts are one thing but a cash machine in a hyper inflationary environment is another. First leg of the commodities boom just corrected. Either you'll be drinking Mohito's on the beach of Puhket in 5 - 10 years or you'll still be staring at your LCD.
