    hamrun. a stronger aussie dollar does impact earnings. but earnings are not what drives mkts in sh term. ever since i been in the mkt...when aussie dollar rallies..resource stocks do to..despite the obv earnings impact. sentiment thing..and strong aussie means base metals normally rallying..and as someone else said..then they buy exposure (o's instos) thru bhp etc
