In fairness if you were to compare Bitcoin to the Tulip mania than you must concede to the idea that 1 bitcoin will equal 76 times the average American annual wage as it did in Holland. That will be 76 times $50,000 USD. That means 1 Bitcoin will be $3.8 Million USD. The difference is that you cannot accelerate the supply of bitcoin through agriculture. As for the scalability issue. You must also understand that although you may pay $25 now to perform a transaction. You still pay less and get your funds much quicker and reliably with bitcoin as oppose to international banks. 10 minutes vs 2 weeks, take your pick. Bitcoin is now not great for takeaway food but will be great when purchasing a house or a car or a holiday or a business etc or 1 million barrels of oil. Bitcoin is remarkably cheap in my opinion.
