Commenting today, Angus McCoss, Exploration Director, said:
"This is an excellent start to our major exploration campaign in the East African rift basins of Kenya and Ethiopia. To make a good oil discovery in our first well is beyond our expectations and bodes well for the material programme ahead of us. Tullow is working closely with the Government and people of Kenya as a committed long term partner to unlock the oil potential of the region. We look forward to further success as seismic and drilling activities continue to gather pace."

Commenting today, Angus McCoss, Exploration Director, said:
"This bold step out is an excellent result which is further enhanced by the quality and thickness of the reservoirs found at this downdip location. Proving a 600m oil column over a distance of 21km with three appraisal wells is a significant achievement which was only possible through the use of highly refined geophysical techniques. The appraisal of the Enyenra field will now continue with the monitoring of the pressure gauges deployed in several wells to determine the level of dynamic connectivity within the system and to further refine the estimates of oil in place."
