The first £9,200(A$23,000) of capital gain is Tax Free in the UK. I do not see why you should not benefit from this arrangement under our tax laws. Unless of course your tax laws prohibit such benefit. bwdik

The banks here are not interested in Capital Gains positions of individuals. As you say that is between you, your accountant and The Inland Revenue.
