You can then log on at any time and get your share value in A$.

Selling is more difficult. It has taken me 6 months to open a bank account in the UK, then an ETrade account. I now have internet broking with ETrade UK.

I have lodged my TLW stock with Etrade and can sell at any time and transfer the proceeds to my UK bank account. I can then transfer money from my UK bank account to my Australian bank account.

Setting this up was very frustrating. I contacted many banks before I found a bank that would let me open a UK account. The rest was easy.

An alternative is to sell through Commsec but they charge the earth and you will be selling blind.
