I agree last night's Dow close was so out of line with the other indexes that the first assumption is that it is a set up to keep the little people who just see Dow closes thinking that the market improved when in fact it was the opposite.
It could well be.
The other alternative is what do you do near a bottom?
Answer:, you buy the big cap stocks always in a 1st leg up, or even in a good bear market rally.
On that basis no definite conclussion is possible by me, but the natural inclination is to lean to the former.
