    This relates to Northern (Pacific) Bluefin Tuna not Southern Bluefin Tuna. I think the lifecyles of the two fish are different so you can't apply the same breeding techniques to SBT. To my knowledge nobody has been able to successfully replicate the ideal conditions required for SBT in the later stages of its lifecycle.


    CSS needs to get moving on finding a JV partner, which will de risk the project. IMHO CSS cannot do this project on its own, otherwise it will end in disaster like last time. There must be a few interested parties who would like to be involved in breeding SBT? 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

    If nobody is able to breed SBT from egg to adult, then the fish will very likely become extinct in the wild as a result of over fishing.
