Capricorns investment in Spenda, while in my opinion makes good economic sense, gives them a seat at the table. That seat is extremely important for Capricorn given Spenda is essentially the financial operating system for Capricorn and their members. If you watched the webinar yesterday you may have picked up on the commentary around the trading of the previously contracted share in revenue for options in Spenda. The motivation for the change to receiving the options was explained by Adrian Floate to be a means to maintain the Capricorn holdings at a percentage after the recent Limepay acquisition and subsequent dilution of the Capricorn holdings.
Capricorn will do whatever they deem necessary to ensure the successful and complete integration of Swiftstatement into their organisation. They'll also do whatever they deem necessary to ensure the success of Spenda. They really can't do it any other way.
