The "reported tungsten shortage" is a myth IMO. There is a "regulating" thing in place called PRICE that will balance supply and demand. And as I said, the price performed weakly throughout the last 12 months. My question is this: Why didn't the reported shortage have any positive effect on APT prices?

The most likely answer IMO: It doesn't exist! The price level is much higher than in previous decades but so are costs! And I have shown repeatedly that there is significant new supply coming online in 2013 and even more so in 2014.
Let's take off the rose coloured glasses. Carbine had admitted costs were higher than expected. They also admitted that they experienced serious problems early in the ramp up phase. The last press release suggested that some of them had been sorted out but the fact that it takes like forever to get 20t of product shipped, makes me wonder.
60.000MTU/a = 600t/a = 50t contained WO3/month. So it should take less than two weeks to get 20t out, shouldn't it?
