Notwithstanding that something must be done to stop the current bloodshed in Syria, I think Erdogan is very foolish in allowing himself to be sucked in to be the fall guy for an ill-conceived attack. Remember, the US has never, ever thought things through. My favourite bit of personal humour is the image of Bush standing there in a borrowed flight jacket exclaiming : "Mission Accomplished" ! How many have died since that day?
The best suggestion I've read towards solving the Syrian problem was to get Israel to attack Syria......the logic being that all fighting in Syria would stop as they all united against Israel...
