Turkey is a very significant country, so why don't we hear that.

I became aware of it whilst listening to George Friedman (Stratfor) being interviewed on ABC radio some weeks ago.

Check it out on Wikipedia - Turkey - looking particularly at the sections on 'Economy' and 'Military'.

It's a BIG player. It seems destined to get bigger.
