The airspace violation in question is only slightly over 2 km wide.
A SU-24 travelling at a leisurely speed of 300kts (555 km/h) would have entered and exited the airspace within 13 seconds.
If in top gear at closer to M1.3, it would have been in and out of Turkey within less than 2 seconds!
The Turkish military claim the pilot was warned 10 times about airspace violation before being shot down?
I don't buy it.
