Splitting hairs there mate. The Russian backed rebels brought down the plane, using a Russian provided SAM that conveniently trucked it's way back over the border once it was discovered what a blunder had unfolded.
Continue to defend these murderous bastards by all means, but don't forget there were Aussies on that plane.
