Moon, I haven't read this whole thread, but i would like to think most people are fully aware of the history of the Russian regime. As far as "supporting" Russia, well, that depends in what context you mean.

I think the "support" by most is more about Putin doing what the USA doesn't want to do. Obama is hellbent on protecting his "Nobel Peace Prize" at the expense of ISIS thriving. Obama, like some of our HC ignorant, think if we can either just pretend ISIS doesn't exist, it will just go away. We don't get the daily killings on the news.. Unfortunately, for Obama and our HC head in the sanders, every terror attack on the west wakes us all up to what they are pretending is not happening daily in the ME. The "support" for Russia is more about someone finally addressing the problem, not so much about Putin being a good guy.
