I looked up a definition of Barrier Warrants:
"Barrier Warrant
A warrant with an additional 'barrier' clause in the terms. Usually the warrant will expire when a barrier level is breached."
So I guess it is correct to call RBS minis a Barrier Warrant.
However I believe most other Barrier Warrants expire worthless when the barrier is touched, whereas the RBS minis do have a residual value determined by the stop loss.
Anyway the RBS web sit explains it all.
