but one crop in five years due to lack of water indicates how marginal the area is. coincidently, i have been in the area a number of times over the last 20 years.
the extraordinary profits said to be made on water trading this half year i think is probably a "one off" with the government's buying up of rights, and the once in a ? inland deluge coinciding.
how the market reacts to all of this i dont know.
