Spot price is becoming marginal. Fastmarkets indicate that they obtain their price by an unknown number of phone calls to industry insiders. How much and how reliable (why should they tell the truth) are they?
Shanghai Metals Market stated some months ago that less and less transactions were done at spot because more and more clients were bringing their own raw material to the converters for processing.
Glad to see auction prices revealing the market status.
