He was also to be appointed chair of the board and a few days later he again was a divisive figure and made comments that made his position untenable.
The fallout now is weeks and weeks of press, personal attacks, and media-filled drama which will be detrimental to what the board was set out to do.
He is now blaming everyone at Murdoch press for his demise yet his public comments are clearly a conflict of interest and are being reported by all news agencies equally. Sky will of course make this a bigger story than it needs to be but it's his own actions/words that have attracted this attention and given them fuel to attack him.
The same will happen if there is some type of issue with his role at FMG so the point I continue to try and get across is the risk-reward for FMG is just not worth it.
