Thats exactly right. Mr Harbourside mansion has no clue about what the average person on the street thinks because he hangs around with the elite who are mainly group thinking lefties (like the academic crowd) - they just spur the twit on.

As you say the average person in the street doesn't give a stuff about leftie pet topics like homosexual marriage, the human induced climate change cult theory, meaningless republics (which would probably end up with a leftie president who isn't respected) etc etc.

All the average person in the street thinks is how am I going to keep my job, pay off my mortgage and how is the country going to stop the rot from all the debt thats being accumulated. All these real world things are far removed from the refined air trecherous clueless Mal breathes. And thats why he's going down - he (nor his leftie views) don't represent those of the common person.
