Shorten (God help us) might well get elected and he is owned by the greens/unions in order to get elected. He has to do a similar deal that Gillard did with them to get elected. This mess is a direct consequence of that insane deal. Shorten has said he wants the monster target so two things will happen for sure.
1- Taxes have to rise to pay for it. He has already said certain taxes will rise.
2-The RET target will be raised and power bills will rise again.

Unfortunately, things like RET and the NBN are labor mad schemes that chew money. I am afraid many in the left don't even understand what Shorten will do to their own cost of living.

Shorten has offered up his first union incentive to help him get elected. Its a billion dollar fund to be used to support certain business arrangements. This is short speak for using public money to help newly formed companies to get govt subsidies that can be unionized. How much of the billion will fall off the back of the truck?????

This is the battleground for the 2019 election. The LNP has a chance. The ALP will now have to cost their policy of 50% RET by 2050
