Sorry to break it to you misty, but professional associations are somewhat different from unions.
Doctors / Lawyers / Accountants have to pass rigorous exams before being able to attain a qualification that allows them to join. A union - well any idiot that pays their due / fee joins. Is that clear enough for you?
