Trecherous Mal doesn't understand his voting base - its why he was given the ass as opposition leader and why the same topic will bring him unstuck again. People can't afford the current cost of living, the last thing they want is a further increase to the cost of living because of some greenie pandering.

Trecherous Mal from his harbourside mansion hasn't a clue how the average Australian struggles from pay check to pay check (particularly in Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane where the costs of acquiring a property are now almost unreachable for the average person).
