Quite possible you do know gay people and you just don't know it, they may be aware of you and or industry attitude to gays so don't advertise the fact they are gay. While I have meet people who seem to be obviously gay (even if they are not) I known people I never imagined would be gay and turned out they were. Dare say there are more gay people out there than what we think
