    Nothing wrong with any immigration policy which supports the promotion of the host country's language and culture and cohesion. There everything wrong with the opposite policy which is of course the policy of multiculturalism, degrading in every regard.

    Not sure about how many boats came from Vietnam in the early 70's. Not that many I don't think. I believe that most of the Vietnamese who ended up here came, after being in camps, via a regional solution in concert with France and the US. Will have to check that. I don't see how pertinent it is though to what I have written in this topic column.

    Back to immigration policy and your reference to the WAP, I think you'll find that most countries outside of the Western world run an immigration policy ( if they have one ) with regard to their own mores , language and culture. Japan would be the most obvious example of this. Nothing wrong with a policy like that.
