I doubt it. Turnbull is not a died in the wool politician. He made a hash of coalition campaign at the last federal election. And I believe he is not in tune with the average Australian. During street walks, he looked very uncomfortable, imo.
He will return to his natural sphere, big business and enjoy first class travel around the world.
