Tony Abbott is living in la la land if he thinks he has a chance of being PM again ,if Turnbull wins the coming election he will have stamped his authority on the party and there will be no challenge.
Turnbull had been unusually quiet for a few months and that is not his character and now the senate reforms are in baring a high court challenge he has the independents on the ropes and it will be interesting to see if they vote for self interest or the best interests on Australia.
The ABCC is a powerful weapon for Turnbull, if it gets through Shorten will be under pressure to repeal it and if it does not come into law Shorten will have to go on the defensive during the election campaign and defend doing nothing about union corruption.
