Thats exactly right. Turnbull is one of the inner city elite - he is absolutely clueless (has a tin ear) as to what the average voter / punter's living habits are (cost of living pressures etc).

All he surrounds himself with are similar inner city syncophants who tell him what he wants to hear (material that aligns with his progressive group think policies. And the right of the party (some of whom do know what the voting punters think) are stopping him from implementing his claptrap which is why he is dithering and useless.

As you say, if the liberals don't get rid of him the voters will at the next election.
