What makes you think that a politician who cant get their own candidacy right could make a decision on foreign ownership laws ?
And then a politician who can be seen to have influence proven or not to allow ownership be relaxed or rules to favour foreign ownership ?
I dont see your reasoning for thinking that having foreign allegiance perceived or not would not be a consideration of any foreign ownership laws in the decision making process .
The laws there to protect the parliament from foreign influences .
