No the problem i believe is you have two parties that are populist but the decision making they do is not representative of the ordinary people but rather a construct for political campaigning .

Both the left or the right in hard terminology perhaps would accept neither of the choices these politicians make as being of better interest to a country's well being .

What you have is people just representing opinion they they engineer into campaigning for a job .

Flat rate all those politicians and then see if they start representing the countries view rather than competing for a higher paying job ?

Just use that slime ball Burke for an example in the case he wont represent his electorate's views .Cant say no to not his own view or does he just bow down to the campaign for what he thinks will keep himself or get himself into a higher paying job ?

Abbott will have do the same . But if they represent the electorate's view then both will have fight for the electorate's view point not their own .imo

They will have see it in debate as it should be that yes you have debate both sides of the representative and put it forward .

I hope that the electorates will look through this at their politicians and go you dont represent us out you go .

This parliament now having a conscience vote is a slime ball maneuver now for not getting someone to actually be able debate the opposite view and generate a result .

The conscience vote last time resulted in a no . This time its the supposed people power so vote and debate as your electorate wishes the policy is supposed to happen in my way of thinking so if the parliament is to work as the electorates wish then Burke will have vote against the policy and debate his electorate's wishes and debate that on behalf of them .
