IMHO the biggest risk to X in a JV would be not having full control. I have held PLA previously, and if anyone cares to read their announcements over the past couple of years they will realize what a difficult place SA is to run a mine. A lot of the problems could probably have been avoided with more experienced management. With all due respect to NKP management, I would rate PLA management much more capable of running a mine than NKP, and that was still not good enough. As an NKP holder I would actually prefer X to have 51% than 50% so there is a better chance of the right mining decisions being made.
