Hmm Kiwi, I think you're a few years behind in your view of China ...
....I lived there for a year and I can tell you, they have much much more than a few dolls and junk. They have a car industry, aerospace, and computer technology ... and once their infrastructure is in place they'll be unstoppable.
Re the yuan ... it doesn't have to appreciate until the Chinese government floats it ... and they won't until the domestic market is fully functional..which will happen as a result of stimulus.
You see, it's not just the government that's spending money in this package - they've instructed (because they can do that) all Chinese companies to also spend money.
...but anyway.. we could keep going back and forth .. got your point ... we'll see how it all goes.
