Recent report in the Bangkok Post

indicates the Thai Department of Primary Industries is still taking an "guilty until proven innocent" stance, but the last paragraph has some interesting info between the lines;
"Suekanya Teerachartdamrong, a villager, said she was disappointed with the department's forum. She believes those who support the mine were organised to attend, which meant they outnumbered the complainant... "
Suekanya Teerachartdamrong is the "disaffected former employee" who has been stirring up most of the trouble. In previous reports she was described as a "local leader". The current description as a "villager" and her quote complaining that the meeting was stacked with mine supporters suggests she is losing support with the locals, particularly those whose jobs are threatened as a result of her crusade.
