H Quest has some energy figures, unlike Monolith. Seems to be a similar process to Monolith i.e. microwave plasma. Not sure how that will scale ? Also at scale we are talking massive microwave power required to power the plasma required to produce at scale, microwave pollution ?
They claim high value carbon products are possible BUT no indication how/if that changes base case energy cost i.e. is it higher energy required to produce carbon nanotubes.
They claim 12 KWh per Kg hydrogen. Assume USA at 10c per KWh for US business - see link below - that is approx. $1.20/Kg hydrogen.
HAZER has a graph with 'rough' US cost INCLUDING gas cost, that looks to be around $1.80/Kg hydrogen - not sure if either are taking carbon/graphite sales into account.
