Of course advertising can affect market share. I like what you say about an uncomplicated chart, I just think that you are overlaying a very hazy Fundamental Issue (TV Advertising) that really is not going to help your investment decisions. Almost like crossing Richard Dennis with Warren Buffet.
As I said before though...If it works for you...
BTW, I don't use Pears soap - I use exclusively Wrights Coal Tar Soap.
