Try an English Premier League match in the UK. The intensity is the same as the Circus would have been. The tribal tensions are relieved in the Football stadium (note how even the name hasn't changed in 2,000 years). Every now and again a referee or player will be killed (well, in Uruguay anyway) for bonus entertainment .....
The funniest thing on the spelling bee is watching parents trying to pretend that they are rooting for someone else's kid to get a word right!
