I think part of the market problem is a "want it yesterday " age .

If you have a large enough seller in a market that has seen delays - shadows turn into suspicion and any price level could be set with sellers in control.

Buyers are not in control, and won't step up to push the price until that air of suspicion clears .

But what is lacking ? The closing of a deal into commercial tangibility .

So what happens to the price when it does ? That is the speculative nature .
We are betting essentially on them being able to do so.

The stock market is a casino . And every stock is a bet one way or the other on things advancing in your favour to higher value . Or selling before a Lower value is apparent . It's all speculation until the fog clears .
