Again you miss the important bit of the article, don't read half of something, read it all.
This is the end of it.
For your understanding they trying to say large flakes are too expensive for use in batteries which is not required. Proactive investors / that author is very smart, most people relate graphite to batteries so while he has mentioned batteries there, he also steers them away from it.
IMO and this is only my opinion, a high-quality blend of graphite is the way to go with super batteries. And everyone knows that we have a high blended basket price.
The graphite is used in the production of the Anode though, and I feel that we might have reached the limit of what graphite can do in batteries.
Its been nearly 4 or 5 years since the energy density has significantly increased in batteries, so a new element/mental/compound might be required in its anode to push batteries even further. Graphite in time won't cut it for battery use and will need to be replaced very very soon, or the cost of batteries in cars will simply not reduce.
