A lie, repreated often enough, is beleived.
I just happened to be a shareholder of Fortescue right through the 2004 period in question. Nobody was studying its announcements and price action closer than I was, - nobody. So when the Financial Review, - who had run a relentless sarcastic anti-FMG program since inception, - made its allegations, nobody was more gob-smacked than me. It was pure sour-grapes.
The original case was thrown out, this one is about points of law, not the facts of the original case.
An innocent man is being sent to jail. It happpens. A massive injustice is being done. We should all be very fearful in the light of this outcome.
