I seem to remember that after the Victorian bushfire disaster, it was AF who actually delivered on site, buildings and shelter for the victims, while the Government bureaucrats argued and did nothing.

He just simply delivered the buildings to where they were needed. No cost, free.

What we have here is a whole raft of people, institutions, brokers, advisers, and the press, - all of whom missed the bus from 2003 because they were too busy looking backwards and criticising. Recognising the determination of AF early on was confined to a few, who are now the happiest of people.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, that most of the critics will not see again. FMG is now in the record books as the best performing stock in ASX history. AF can rest on his laurels if he likes. But he won't of course.
