Well I've got news for you and that blithering fool the Disallowed salesman. Because eventually, he'll come to a sticky end!!! They all do, it's just a matter of time. All these so called grandiose ventures into a utopian dream land of renewables will ultimately fail and fail dismally! You can see it happening world wide, right this very moment! Europe is a classical example! Just take our 5KW solar unit. It's okay to run our computers, four refrigerators etc but once you turn the kettle on or even the toaster, there isn't enough power generated to power them all!!! So how could you recharge an EV from your own solar power unit? You can't! You need the grid! The only benefit from our system is that during a warm summers day we are using less electricity than we would normally do and the end result being that it will compensate for some of the usage at night but not much!! It's all a pipe dream and we have 17 solar panels! The only real benefit and this was a wise investment has come from our solar hot water system. It's brilliant, saving us $150 per quarter. Hot water for nothing but only when the sun's out. Winters can be a little less productive and that's when a booster is necessary. But overall it's been a very sound investment.
