I suspect under certain circumstances the twin deficits could be wiped out. It's the unchecked nature of the US dollar being the world currency and the Fed continuing to print excess money and therefore robbing the dollar holding nations that might undermine the US dollar and precipitating the world into the greatest yet depression and a return gold standard.
