There were a few whispers that this appeal was just going to be a 'repeat argument' by SMSL as a last gasp effort; in other words it was suggested that they were going to put forward the same points as they have all along, but in a different way. The thing is, these points were dismissed last week. All day I've been thinking that surely if the same case was being put forward today it would have been dismissed as quickly as it was last week. With the case being adjourned until the afternoon up there it appears that today will drag out far longer than last week. I have suspicions that this could mean that the new points raised by SMSL today are being given some proper and well thought out consideration. This story has had more twists and turns than a roller-coaster; another one wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
