twitter and facebook cost us medals

I find it amazing that so many of our athletes, in many cases sponsored and given grants by the australian olymp committee, were allowed free access to twitter and facebook.

Surely, during one of the most important times in their lives, they would ban it for a month or so before.

All that effort put into looking at who 'tweeted' me is a distraction IMO.

The head coach of swimming for australia, when he suggested that 'i wish that the athletes would refrain during the meet' is being weak.

He should have out and out banned it....that little bit of extra distraction might have cost us 1-2% and therefore medals
