I think I know why the ASN threads have turned into know it all's who become rude towards others, it is called group think, private groups of investors who end up thinking the same.
I have never been part of a group, or group think, I'm a private investor who does his own research.
I have seen these group think groups before, who come on Hotcopper and be rude towards others who don't think like there group think group.
Forums like Hotcopper are the best places to find information that you can research, as it comes from individuals, as well as the group think groups.
I have always considered group think as a bad way to make a informed investment decision, as it is essentially only one form of information.
All information should be considered before making a investment decision, just need to weed through the rude know it all stuff, and a person should be able to find the information to research yourself.
