LTR could possibly come unstuck if they had to use a substantial amount of debt funding and then a couple of years down the track the spod price dropped as dramatically as Goldman Sachs would have us believe. The latter seems unlikely due to projected exponential demand for EVs over the next few years and the length of time taken to develop new mines to meet that demand. However, I can understand why their shareholders have become a little uneasy.

In comparison to them and some others our (and PMET's) great advantage is our low number of SOI and the ability to keep them low because of the Flow Through Funding Scheme and the fact that we've gone straight into successful lithium exploration from start-up instead of racking up a billion shares hacking around for years searching for various minerals. Thus we are able to define a large resource and progress to the planning and development stage with probably still less than 250M SOI and hopefully a SP of around $10. Then even if the cost is $1B it would only require another 100M shares to fund it. Of course we're currently hoping that Cancet will prove a very viable lower cost starter operation that will provide all the funding we need for other areas. All in all, we appear to have everything running in our favour at present, as long as the results continue to materialise through this year.
