In my opinion it is more embarrassing to the Chinese people to have their Government tweeting this sort of material, than embarrassing to Australian's.
The Australian government is taking action against war crimes committed by its soldiers in Afghanistan, something very few countries ever do. Australia would only be hypocritical if it took no action against its soldiers.
