Sydney - Thursday - September 1: (RWE Aust Business News) - The prices of established houses in the June quarter fell 0.1 per cent, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said.
Over the year to June the house price index fell 0.1pc also.
Sydney house prices dragged the index into negative, falling 3.1 per cent in the quarter.
House prices rose in Perth, 3.8pc, Adelaide, 1.5pc, Darwin, 1.4pc, Melbourne, 1.3pc, Brisbane, 0.8pc, Canberra, 0.3pc and Hobart, 0.2pc.
Annually house prices rose 11.7pc in Perth, 8.6pc in Darwin, 7pc in Adelaide, 2.5pc in Canberra and 1.8pc in Brisbane.
But over the year to June house prices fell 5pc in Sydney, 1.4pc in Melbourne and 0.8pc in Hobart.
