Unfortunately most brokers have a strict criteria of stocks they can recommend to clients. This is a bit like an "approved research report" on the stocks ( a bit like financial advisors and there approved product list). Each broker firm uses various approved research. Stray from this list and they are not covered by their licensees insurance so they will not risk that on these spec stocks.
