You could argue the AZZEF 400K volume last Friday means very little in the context of a potential $200M deal. But on the counter, for someone to buy 70K lots at 70+ cents you may believe they MUST to know something as it is probably more than the average small time punter can afford to lose.

And I would think a no deal situation ought to see some serious dumping in AZZEF which we are yet to see.

Overall my best steer is taken from the CEO's positive statements and the current market fever in Eagle Ford acreage. AZZEF is at best a distraction, something to try and get a cue from while being locked out of trading.
